January and February 2012

2012 Started with a bang with these bass, and then a few more since, nothing huge, but after a year of struggling last year, Im more than happy to have had 6 so far this year compared to last years puny 3!

Due to a ton of uni work I havent been able to get out much, but as of now (End of February) The fishing has resumed, so let the reports flow!

Highlights of 2011

Heres a few photos of my fishing highlights from last year to get the blog started:

January: A lovely Thornback Ray at 7lb 5oz at Ty Croes on Mackerel baits to kick off the 2011 fishing.

Spring:  Not completely sure when I got this one to be honest, but a Huss of also 7lb 5oz also at Ty Croes on Sandeel.

Summer:  After a good few months hunting bass, this was to be my first of decent size, caught at Dinas Dinlle on peeler crab.

Not many pictures kicking around, but one of a cute codling caught at Benllech behind Hewitts campsite.

August came bringing some fantastic Wrasse Fishing, and heres my better half holding her P.B. fish of a Ballan Wrasse at 4lb 8oz taken on crab near Bull Bay near Amlwch. It gave her a fantastic battle on her 8ft spinning rod and 12lb line. Needless to say I then got one at 4lb 11oz a few minutes later!

Unfortunately I havent got many photos kicking around from last year, but now Iv got a blog up and running Il be taking more photos and putting up some very detailed reports from around the island.

Hi!

Hi all, Im Ad, a student at Bangor University and I go fishing at every opportunity possible. Most of my fishing is on Anglesey or Gwynedd shores and I target anything that might be swimming past. This blog will be a diary of my fishing, so hope you enjoy the reports!
